Serving South Sudan & the United States

About Tembeek

Built between two markets. Grounded in one principle: make the system useful.

Tembeek Systems combines U.S. software engineering experience with direct, on-the-ground understanding of how organizations operate in South Sudan.

Why we exist

Technology should reduce disorder—not digitize it.

Too many technology projects begin with features and end with frustrated users. Tembeek begins with the operation: the people, records, handoffs, constraints and outcomes.

That approach matters in Juba, where infrastructure can be unreliable and imported assumptions often fail. It matters just as much in the United States, where layers of software can hide a broken workflow instead of fixing it.

Our job is to understand the constraint, build the smallest dependable improvement, and leave the organization stronger than we found it.

How we work

Old-fashioned accountability.
Forward-looking systems.

01

Understand before prescribing

We observe the work and ask plain questions before choosing tools.

02

Start with a useful win

A small working improvement beats a grand proposal collecting dust.

03

Build for the real environment

Connectivity, staff habits, support capacity and budget are design inputs.

04

Make ownership clear

Defined scope, visible progress, documentation and honest handoff.

Dut Athian

Software engineer and systems builder with more than a decade of experience spanning backend engineering, business technology and digital operations in the United States and East Africa.

His work has included backend services, APIs, data systems, enterprise modernization, automated delivery and the operational controls required to keep important systems dependable.

Dut holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a software engineering specialization from Chicago, and brings direct field understanding of organizations operating in Juba. Tembeek joins those perspectives: disciplined engineering without imported assumptions.

A useful boundary

Experience informs the work. Evidence earns the claim.

Tembeek does not present concepts as completed products or promise outcomes before understanding the operation. Proposals distinguish what already exists, what will be configured, what must be built and what still needs to be proven through a pilot.
